Assuming Responsibility...
A nationally-known manufacturing company recognized that the existing service equipment and electrical conductors that provided source power to the facility were reaching their life expectancy and that replacement during a fault condition would create a significant cost impact to the business.
Elm was hired by the manufacturer to take on complete project management responsibility in the medium voltage service replacement/upgrade and low voltage switch board replacement, which also included upgrading several substations and service cable replacements.
The timeline was very tight, running from December to the company's summer shutdown period, which ended July 15th. All work had to be completed by July 15th, because once the manufacturer's summer shutdown period was over, they set into their busiest production time of the year.
With the exception of the manufacturer's shutdown period, which was in the last two weeks in July, all of the electrical upgrades were to take place in the facility without interruption to the ongoing manufacturing process.
Elm's project management team maintained constant communication between the customer, additional sub-contractors, and its own staff. That communication, along with strong project management methodology contributed to the project being completed correctly, on time, and without interruption to the manufacturer's process.
After 42 years in the construction business it was enlighten[ing] to watch 'Elm' go about their work and get the job done on time with No major problems. A quality team effort at all levels.
