Q: How long have you been working at Elm?
A: I have been working at Elm since 2006, before I moved to Florida in 2009. I lived there for three years and came back in 2012 and have been here at Elm since then.
Q: What brought you to Elm/how did you get your start here?
A: Working for a small contractor, I was interested in learning more. So, I applied for classes at Gould Construction Institute. There, I met a classmate by the name of Brad MacAdam and he mentioned to me of a potential opening at Elm.
Q: Can you tell us a little about your role at Elm?
A: My role at Elm, as a working foreman, is to introduce a safe and healthy environment to all journeymen and apprentices and to meet deadlines in an orderly fashion. I also work to aid my production manager, Steve Diaz, to manage work at Ken’s Foods.
Q: What are some of the things you enjoy most about working at Elm?
A: Some of the things I enjoy most about working at Elm is the good crew of people I work with and all the hard work they put in. The positive work environment at the Marlborough shop is motivating and that makes it very enjoyable for me to be there!
Q: What has been one of your most rewarding experiences at Elm?
A: One of the most rewarding experiences I have had at Elm has been the safety and tool training, as well as operating new equipment that I have never seen before and seeing how easy and how effective they are to operate.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
A: When I am not at work, I like spending time with my family doing outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing and exploring New England.
Q: Do you have a particular hobby or talent that co-workers may not know about?
A: My No. 1 hobbies are spending time at the gym and working on cars.
