Gould Construction Institute Announces S.T.E.P. Award Winners – Elm Electrical, Inc. Named S.T.E.P. Award Recipient

The Gould Construction Institute (GCI) congratulates Elm Electrical, Inc., located in Westfield, MA, for recently being named a Gold Safety, Training, and Evaluation Process (S.T.E.P.) Award recipient at the 11th Annual GCI Safety and Education Dinner held at the Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, MA. For GCI, the S.T.E.P. Awards are the premier event of the year.

A contractor’s most valuable resource is their workers. There is nothing more important than jobsite safety. Tonight’s award recipients deserve each and every accolade they received by continuing to raise the standards of safety, training, and education throughout the construction industry.

The S.T.E.P. Awards are presented annually to ABC Member companies with exceptional safety records, and this year’s applicant pool was fiercely competitive. Applicants are critiqued on a number of statistical factors such as incident rates, lost time and OSHA recordables combined with a safety audit consisting of twenty key components.

This year Elm Electrical, Inc. took home the Gold S.T.E.P. Award in recognition for its outstanding commitment to ensuring a safe work environment for their workforce.
