Help Pack Some Love: Donate to Jillian’s Bags for Bravery!

Westfield High School junior Jillian Battles is back at it again, and she needs our help! With a heart as big as her ambition, Jillian is collecting items to create 800 care packages for our troops overseas and veterans right here in western Massachusetts.

Growing up in a military family, Jillian has seen firsthand the challenges our brave service members face when they return home. So, she’s turning her compassion into action with her fourth annual Bags for Bravery campaign!

These bags are packed with all sorts of good stuff—cozy socks, soft blankets, tasty snacks, and essential hygiene items. It’s a little piece of comfort that goes a long way for those who have given so much.

And here’s where we come in! We’re inviting all Elm Electrical employees to bring in donations for this incredible cause. Collection boxes will be ready and waiting at Union, Falcon, and Cycle Street until October 25. Some of her most needed items are:

·       Warm socks, hats and gloves

·       Throw blankets

·       Mac and cheese and ramen noodle cups

·       Toothbrushes/paste &mouthwash

·       Notebooks, pens and pencils

·       Puzzle and adult coloring books

·       Trail mix, beef jerky, gummy snacks

·       Hard candy, cracker packs, rice krispie treats, cookies, granola bars

·       Playing cards, dice

·       Tea, hot cocoa

Please consider adding a couple of extra items in the grocery cart over the next month and be a part of Jillian’s amazing mission! Reach out to Holly Lurgio with any questions!
