National Safety Stand-Down Week to prevent falls in construction

Fatalities caused by falls from elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction employees, accounting for 378 of the 986 construction fatalities recorded in 2021 (BLS data). Those deaths were preventable. The National Safety Stand-Down raises fall hazard awareness across the country in an effort to stop fall fatalities and injuries.

Elm Electrical, Inc. will be participating in the Fall Protection Safety Stand-Down this year.

The Elm Safety Department will be out visiting job sites the week of May 1^st and holding stand-down Safety meetings via a job box talk and will have a brief discussion regarding fall prevention in construction.
