No amount of rain was going to put a damper on the Runway 5K

Elm employees braved the cold, rainy weather to run the Northampton Airport runway to raise money for the Treehouse Foundation. All proceeds support Treehouse and their, “Intergenerational Community in Easthampton, where they support kids who have experienced foster care and older adults in a vibrant community.” Elm’s Team “No Sparks” — which had 25 members participate — was the second highest contributor, raising $4,755, while the event total tallied $78,410!

Although folks were frozen and soaked, spirits were high and everyone enjoyed their dash down the runway. Once done cheering on their teammates, Team “No Sparks” retreated to the cozy, dry Elm Hospitality Suite where they relished an actual bathroom as well as tasty Tandem coffee and bagels.

Bob Bacon said, “It was a great company event and supporting foster kids is a real Elm thing!”
