Panel Builder

We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Control Panel Builder to assemble and wire electrical panels and equipment for an electrical contractor in Westfield, MA. This position is full time, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Job Description:

  • Assemble and fabricate industrial control panels and electrical control boxes/enclosures
  • Read and interpret electrical and/or mechanical schematics
  • Complete and maintain written project documentation
  • Follow both written and verbal instruction
  • Perform operational testing from written procedures and specifications
  • Complete light fabrication and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Utilize and interpret wiring diagrams and recognize components
  • Proficiently operate a variety of hand and power tools including, but not limited to, a soldering iron, jigsaw, K/O punch, and electrical multimeter
  • Stand for an extended period of time
  • Successfully pass a background and drug test

Requirements:

  • Possess a mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with NFPA70 , NFPA79, and UL508A

Estimator, Middletown CT

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled, motivated estimator to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing projects, estimating labor and materials costs, and communicating financial cost and project timelines to senior management and customers.

Estimator Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill client appointments in a timely manner
  • Assess projects by identifying project requirements, regarding time, labor, and material costs
  • Read blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents to prepare estimates
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation to ensure overall accuracy
  • Present estimates to senior management and clients in a timely manner
  • Recommend cost-reduction options and value engineering solutions
  • Assist management team in final project preparation transactions
  • Maintain thorough records of all project documentation, including estimates and project completion documentation

Estimator Requirements and Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Five or more years’ experience working with -48V DC Primary bays, power feeders and -48V 2v and 12v cell battery systems

  • Technical background working with DC distribution equipment (ie. Alpha-technologies, Telect-Amphenol, GE/ABB and others)

Safety Manager

The Safety Manager’s primary focus will be to oversee the safety culture through managing the development, execution, and viability of company safety programs for a well-established electrical contractor based in Western-Mass. This position will provide leadership, support, and direction, ensuring compliance with company, federal, and state regulations, and work collaboratively with other internal departments and outside organizations.

Job Description:

  • Support, promote, and maintain the strong company safety culture that has been established,
  • Lead the safety team in partnership with operations and human resources to engage employees in a core competency of safe behaviors and work practices.
  • Foster an environment of continual innovation and improvement by driving processes and compliance forward.
  • Assist project managers and supervisors with work planning and development of job hazard analysis and safe-work procedures, and then travel to the job sites to ensure implementation of company safety practices by completing inspection reports and, subsequently, analyzing and reporting back to operations on these findings.
  • Conduct accident/incident investigations and analyze near-misses, performing root-cause analysis to determine next steps to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Partner with operations managers and supervisors to create, coordinate, and facilitate internal trainings including company safety trainings; monthly department meetings; new-hire safety orientations; general safety awareness trainings; and safety specific trainings such as LOTO, respirator, confined space, NFPA70-E, ladders.
  • Administer and maintain the company’s Haz-Com program.
  • Serve as a liaison between government inspectors, and local and federal agencies to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and maintain existing safety training manual and practices to remain current with OSHA/MSHA and ANSI standards.
  • Conduct safety program audits and work with the safety committee to update programs, as necessary.
  • Maintain the safety division budget and work with the purchasing department on safety equipment purchases.
  • Perform additional assignments, as required by company needs.

Qualifications:

  • Safety and Health Specialist (SHS) for construction certification
  • A minimum of 5 years’ construction-related safety experience preferred
  • Certified Safety Professional
  • Supervisory skills demonstrating an ability to lead and support
  • Knowledge of construction safety and health regulations, including OSHA construction and DOT
  • OSAH30 for construction certified
  • Good computer skills with a proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Ability to adjust work hours, when required
